It’s pretty surreal that a decade ago I opened Hamburg Barber Shop. Today, just like every anniversary, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude, joy, and pride.

A little over ten years ago, I had a crazy idea of creating a welcoming space where our clients felt comfortable sharing stories, laughs, and banter—a place where our friends became our clients and our clients felt like friends. I never would have imagined what it could turn into. The past ten years have been a wild ride, to say the least.

We pushed through a global pandemic when I was forced to shut my doors twice, but somehow we ended up on the other side.

I can’t put into words how lucky I am that this is my career.

I come to work every day with three of the best barbers I’ve ever met. They are constantly raising the bar, trying new things, and focusing on perfecting their craft. Not only are their skills unmatched, but they truly have become family. These girls play a very intricate role at Hamburg Barber Shop. They are so talented, keep me laughing, and inspire me to be my best. I am unbelievably proud of you three. I couldn’t ask for a better team.

This year, more than any other, I’ve realized a pretty beautiful thing: we are silently there for our clients during exciting new chapters of life... and unfortunately some sad ones too. Thank you for allowing us to be a very small part of your lives. For opening up to us, for trusting us, for letting us celebrate your milestones, and for letting us be there during the harder times. It truly means more than you know. Because of you, we are able to do what we love.

Thank you to every single client of Hamburg Barber Shop for your support. The past ten years have been an absolute pleasure. Here’s to ten plus more.
